I've long wondering about this topic. Everyone wants happiness, eternally. Yesterday I saw a post from a stranger who said she is now very happy with her current life as she does everything with content and awareness. She loves her family and feels like she is doing the right thing.
I am not sure about the eternal happiness or the current definition of happiness. I don't believe it's all about feeling happy all the time. So when I was cooking, the thought came to me that happiness isn't about feeling happy all the time cause nothing lasts forever. Happiness is the freedom to feel and live. There will be pain, there will be sorrow that no one can help it. You will feel how hurt that is and it will go deep into your bone, your well-being that you will be reborn to a different person. I would say more complete. It's a process of being. So happiness is watching all that happen and not trying to intervene or stop. You catch the fall. Happiness is to feel what's inside and seeing the beauty through it.
I think perhaps I just hate the idea of being happy all the time. It never happens.
